Danish Modern Desk - SOLD

UPDATE: This has been sold!
This solid wood desk has no labels inside the drawers, but it reminds us of the beautiful Domino Mobler desks we've seen at our favorite stores.

Ours:

An Instagram pic of the desk. I always gotta throw in one!

Domino Mobler:

Similar, right?  (Apologies for the back lighting in my pic, folks. There's just no good time of day to take pictures from our bedroom. That's right, this gorgeous mid-century piece of furniture is currently chillin' in our bedroom. Please save it?)

There are two flaws in this otherwise perfect desk - the left corner has a bit of a chip, and there's a bit of a stain on the left panel. We're asking $100, and we'll throw in the can of stain I bought to polish up this sucker myself, and, of course, never actually did. The dimensions are 5 feet long x 29 inches tall x 30 inches wide. We can deliver if you don't have a truck or a large-enough hatch-back vehicle. (Believe it or not, this fit in my Subaru Forester no problem.

Thrifty Finds 2.24.13

This past Sunday, we hit up a few of our favorite stores along 7th Ave in central Phoenix -- Antiques on Camelback, Modern on Melrose, Retro Ranch, and Zinnia's at Melrose -- in search of a new end table, a tripod, and a lampshade (three guesses what we wanted to do with those last two items!).

Obviously we didn't buy all of the awesomeness that we saw, so I took a bunch of pictures of the things I longingly passed on. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, these pictures are also probably worth a thousand bucks still safely in the bank. Phew!

Join me in lusting after these fun vintage items, won't you? And let us know what you think of

That's right, this deer was also a pirate.

Someday, we will own an Eames chair. Someday.

And for the grand finale...get a load of this beautiful tripod lamp we made! Good thing it's in my direct eye line at all times, because I don't ever want to stop staring at it. The vintage tripod we scored from Antiques on Camelback for $15, and the lampshade we found at a central Phoenix Goodwill for $5. Voila!

Let us know what you think in the comments!
